Quote of the Day #176: The Size Of Your Audience Doesn't Matter!

in #quoteoftheday7 years ago

Your voice is what truly matters!

Sometimes we can feel disconnected from what we want to do and what actually happens. This is where we need to forget about who the audience is and who we think we’re sharing our true message with, because the one we are trying to convince and win over with our own way of thinking is ourselves.

The times that can appear lonely and where our voice is the only one around that seems to be heard, is because what we say is what goes, we are ‘the why’ and we are ‘ the reason’. The audience response and the feedback they give can be great, but we need to convey our truths and accept them, first and foremost, from within and not seek any outward recognition or reinforcement, it is completely unnecessary.

What we say and how we say it, is the most important thing. The people who care about your vision and your message will hear it, and you are right there in the front row, and you are your biggest fan. Without your own support and backup, you will get thrown off stage every time, be genuine, be unique and dive face first into the deep end, you will be better for it.

good motivation. sometimes it is hard out here in the world of steem. always gotta remember to stay positive.

Thanks @boycharlieplays. It's true that it's not always easy, but positivity needs to play its role in all that we do.

Audience is somethig that we think to be important, even if it is not and very often we tend to lie to ourselves just to have more audience because in our vision audience=money and we are instructed to think that we need money.

Nicely said right there @silviu93, thanks for sharing that.

In a sense, my "primary audience" is often myself. I am am not happy with whatever I have created, or said, or produced... it matters little what others might (or might not) think about me and what I have done.

Once my own personal audience of ONE is happy, the rest is just gravy. And bigger numbers aren't always the answer... getting to the RIGHT audience is.

Great true quote. That is one of the reasons why i keep posting :)

you always put up good ones!

Hello @sandstorm

This is one of the things I tell newbies that I Mentor in the @bluewaves Project. What matters is you voice and not the size of your audience.

Some people are keeping their best work for when they have 2000 followers without knowing that it is only quality content that can bring that number of views in the first place.

I also tell them that all it takes is just one view and they can capture the attention of someone who will give them the opportunities they need to grow futher.

Not taking your blog seriously will not help you if you need more attention from people.

Thanks for sharing this.

I will be using this post as Mentorship Material So expect more comments as the days go by.
