Lost Quarkcoin wallet not supported
I am one of the people that bought Quarkcoin during the hype with Bill Still and Colin Evans. Then later
realised that Bill Still had been used in a pump and dump scam. I forgot about my coins and then I thought
a few weeks ago I would just sell them as there was no point in keeping them. My wallet was the older 0.9.2.4.
and would not send any coins. I thought all was lost and was fed-up as I had bought quite a few of them. I checked out the
Quarkcoin Community and discovered my wallet was no longer supported. I then tried to download the new wallet
and it would not work on my laptop. I asked someone else to download the new version 0.10.5.0 wallet onto their laptop.
I asked what to do on the Quarkcoin Community and was given good support from Thule. I was to save my wallet.dat file
and add the wallet.dat file to the new wallet. It worked but I have heard that it doesn't work for everyone. I had to get
help to put in the data file as I am not technical. I have kept some coins but sold quite a few on BCT38 for CYN and then changed it for Bitcoin. BCT38 are okay but they put a daily withdrawal limit which is really annoying, think it might be better to exchange smaller amounts at a time. Cryptopia trade very small volumes of Quarkcoin and I had no luck with them. Hope this helps anyone out there with quarkcoins. I am not technical but found the Quark Community quarktalk.cc very good.
