ATTENDING A SEMINAR ON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Yesterday was a fulfilled day for me as I attended a seminar organised by an NGO 'ELIZABETH FOUNDATION' in collaboration with The Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC) in my state. The Theme for the seminar was 'ENGAGING COMMUNITIES ON PROJECT CONCEPTION, OWNERSHIP AND SUSTAINABILITY IN THE NIGER DELTA REGION'. The Seminar highly focused on sustainable development which was described as the type of development that meets the needs of the present and is profitable over time had a massive number of Niger Deltans in attendance.
The seminar was organized to enlighten the Niger Deltans who are blessed with Natural resources such as Crude to see the need for involving in development projects in their various communities. It has been observed that most youths in this region were not aware that they should be a part of any community development projects in the region. Being involved in such a project will not only benefit you as a person but will also benefit your generation.
I was so excited that I was one of the attendees of the seminar. The event also had top community developments experts like Associate Professor Grace Etuk in attendance.
