517 - Comemorativos Alemães - Parte 8
Continuaremos a série sobre comemorativos em prata emitidos pela República Federal da Alemanha, quando o marco era a moeda oficial.
A primeira foi um 1952 2 Marcos comemorando o 100º aniversário do "Germanisches Nationalmuseum" em Nuremberg e a última foi um 2001 10 Marcos comemorando o 750º aniversário do "Katharinenkloster" e o 50º aniversário do "Naval Museum" em Stralsund.
Eu só tenho alguns dos comemorativos de 5 Marcos e vou mostrá-los sem ordem particular.
Cada 5 Marcos pesa 11,2g com 62,5% de pureza de prata e acabamento Brilliant Uncirculated.
Hoje vamos ver o 1977 5 Marcos comemorando o 200º anivesário de nascimento de Carl Friedrich Gauss.
Carl Friedrich Gauss nasceu em 1777 em Brunswick, Alemanha e morreu em 1855 em Göttingen, Alemanha.
Matemático, astrônomo e físico, ele criou a Geometria Diferencial e é conhecido como o "Príncipe dos Matemáticos".
Entre muitas coisas, ele desenhou o heptadecágono, inventou o telégrafo e definiu o conceito de Números Complexos.
O reverso mostra o retrato de Gauss, desenhado por Erich Ott.
O obverso mostra uma águia olhando à esquerda, símbolo da Alemanha.
