Philosophy and proper meditation (which is to say an exercise to increase mindfulness) have been tremendously helpful in my life.

Now, I happen to disagree with a large chunk of what the person in the video below says, but I do think that there's something to the idea, that many whom claim to be Objectivists never quite reach the psychology that they would praise, while Buddhists may be relatively psychologically stable in everyday life, but avoid deeper considerations of logical epistemology almost entirely.

"Objectivists" whom fail to achieve psychological stability tend to be "mind full", but not "mindful".
