Emotional Intelligence
Hello dear readers!
In my last publications I have touched on issues framed in the field of psychology, referring to human behaviors and behaviors that benefit the collective to the detriment of the same, depending on the use that is given at a given time; These publications are closely related to the topic that I want to share with you today, my previous publications are the following: Effective leadership, Mass control methods and today I want to talk about the Emotional Intelligence.
To understand a little more and continue with the development of our subject, it is necessary to dwell on a simple concept through which I challenge you to share with me opinions about this important topic.
Basic concept
The concept of emotional intelligence was popularized by the American psychologist Daniel Goleman and refers to the ability to recognize one's own feelings and those of others. The person, therefore, is intelligent (skilled) for the management of feelings.
Emotional intelligence not only helps us recognize and understand our own feelings or those of others, but also enables us to manage and channel them in the best way, this leads to two important reactions to understand the emotional and sentimental situation of the other to put ourselves in their place (Empathy), and be able to control our impulses and emotions in certain circumstances or when we want to achieve some end (self control or temperance).
Emotional intelligence and leadership
The head researcher of a head hunter has highlighted that CEOs are hired for their intellectual capacity and commercial experience and fired for their lack of emotional intelligence.
A leader with an important level of Emotional Intelligence is able to get the people around him to feel comfortable with him, not experience any kind of negative sensation and trust him when they need some advice to both personal level as a professional. In addition, it has a greater capacity to relate to others, because it has the advantage of being able to understand them when putting in their positions, has the necessary qualities to face adversities and setbacks, so as not to break down.
On the other hand, a leader who does not have a good level of Emotional Intelligence will make decisions based on the emotions of the moment, which brings with it high probabilities of being wrong in his decisions related to the group, affecting with them the stability and the harmony of it.
Importance of the Emotional Intelligence
Emotional Intelligence helps us not only in the workplace or professional, in our daily lives but we learn to understand and control our emotions, we may live a life making temperamental decisions based on our emotions, decisions of which we end up repentant.
A clear example of this is our relationship, in daily life there are situations and disagreements that provoke the anger of both, if we do not know how to control our emotions we will end up living a life of conflict or destroying our relationship.
That is why it is advisable to work on our level of Emotional Intelligence, with the purpose of learning to control our emotions and feelings, preventing them from dominating us. Emotional Intelligence has an important role in our relationships and decision-making, our success in relationships, teamwork and decision-making depends to a great extent on it.
Conclusion
In the last decades companies are being very careful with the staff they hire, paying close attention to their level of Emotional Intelligence, since they have realized that the performance of the work group is much better when the leaders of their respective groups know how to handle emotions, this gives them more control over the group they lead and creates a more suitable environment for efficient work.
I think that each person, some more than others, we handle Emotional Intelligence although some have not discovered its importance in human relationships.

Incredible topic to debate and very difficult to know the answers about what happen in our mind..!!!
The only thing I can say is that everything is about experiences, knowing the people behavior is so difficult to understand them..
To be a good leader I think is more like a polite person to guide people in a correct way and take the best election.
Everything is about motivation, good motivation brings amazing effective results.
It is not just about emotional decisions. I’m pretty sure that it is more work in ourselves to help others to grow up faster...
Humans mind are amazingly beautiful and a huge universe of different answers..!!

You are right about taking the best decisions, but emotions often make us make hasty decisions or with incorrect motives, so the leader must be able to control their emotions.
Right friend, the motivation plays a very important role in the performance of any group so when the group loses the mood, there must be someone or several within the group capable of returning good cheer and motivation to the team.

This is a very interesting subject. Because it belies the fact that the most successful people in their lives are those who have a very high IQ, since when emotions are not handled correctly, they can put an end to the person's work effort, as well as their performance in their private life.

This is right brother, the person left to control pofr emotions sooner or later take erroneous decisions that harm their environment, However, who knows how to control their emotions significantly reduces that risk.

Definetelly the best way to understand your emotional level would be to start to invest/trade inside the crypto blockchain and that would make you understand if you're with cold blood, easy to manipualte to go with the crowd when they say it's bull run or it's bear run :-)

Right, emotions always tend to get out of control, that's why emotional intelligence is necessary to be able to control those moments and avoid some bad action, the one that does not have the capacity to control the emotions ends up being dragged by them, arriving at the worst cases to suicide.

I think leaders of this century have to have great emotional intelligence in order to be successful. Old leadership methods do not work anymore especially with the generation Z and the millennials.
When you think about work and there is a boss who understands your reaction and can reconcile why you did certain things, you will work harder for him. It is a win - win. You learn from him and he receives more effort from you :)

I'm not sure I understand your question well, but if you're making an analogy to the subject of emotional intelligence, I'm sure there are ways to control emotions, it's natural that emotions are there and sometimes they get out of control, but it's presumably the large amount of existing information that provides us with tools to help in the control of emotions.

Emotional Intelligence... never heard that phrase before but it makes a lot of sense. I can see it also being VERY valuable in the work place as well. We need to beable to see if some one that could be doing great, is not cause they are in internal pain or suffering. Yes, its not the business place to sort out internal issues for workers, but when they do, the worker will do a better job and have more of a life long thanks for the company... so its very important.

Wooo did not know this concept until recently, but I realized that it is very powerful, that if we work on learning to control our emotions, we will not only avoid some problems, but we will tend better in what we do and we will also understand why The people around us pass by.

@fucho80, Many learn different kinds of Management Skills and running away from the most important and basic one. Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Management is vital. In my opinion if Corporate companies would adopted the Emotional Management then there would be many less Attrition Rate.
