Why Your Friends And Family Stopped Interacting With Your Social Media Posts.

First lets not rule out that you may be mentally ill or deranged, and making it very obvious in your posts. It is really easy to lose ourselves in our online persona, becoming ignorant of our own condition. Though I was lucky enough to come out of that hole, conspiracy syndrome is usually the biggest sign you may be losing it.

But for those who are not...

In the Bible we find the sentiment often, "a prophet is not welcome or honored in his own hometown". It is a piece of ancient wisdom, a truth that has held through ages. But why? Why is it so true? Why does it always seem like those of us who speak truth, who shed light in the dark, who mean well, always lose support from those who should be the closest to us?

Why is it that we see basic posts from friends and family, constant selfies, pictures of food, complaining about trivial shit and the such, and it gets all the attention from friends and family? Why is it so hard for us to like and participate in the post like everyone else?

Why is all of our support coming from people everywhere but our hometown?

Well, if you are like me, at some point, you were disturbed. You woke from the mass dream due to some type of traumatic experience, good or bad. And yes, a traumatic experience can indeed be a good one - falling in love is a good example. But the point is that you no longer saw the world with the same lens. And if you are an honest person, this presents a problem in social situations.

The truth of the matter is that your friends and family dont have time to contemplate how bad we are being fucked, or how strange things really are. They have kids, full time jobs and responsibilities, and when they see your posts, they may indeed understand where you are coming from, but the cognitive dissonance it too much, and it is often safer and smarter to block you out.

But not all of them are so easily excused.

Jesus said a few times in the Bible that a prophet is without honor in his hometown and indeed it is true for this main reason; people dont reflect well against you. You are a reminder of where they lack.

Think about how much people pay lip service to Jesus. Do you think they would invite him to parties? I mean, maybe some people would, but most would at least hope he would leave early so they can get to the fun shit right? Some people stand so hard in truth, in virtue, that when they are around, it is a constant reminder, and those reminders keep people from the pleasure of illusion, and indulgence in their base desires.

Did they not crucify Jesus just outside of his own hometown?

As much as I hate to say it, ignorance truly is bliss. But some of us have a constant need to know more even though every bit of knowledge gained becomes a pain. But no pain, no gain right? And does this not make the quest for truth the most noble masochism?

And lets also realize that people from our hometowns tend to think that just because you are from the same place, that you cannot possibly see or know more than they do, that yor experience cannot go so far from their own. This is a defense mechanism. It makes them OK in their lack.

So what have we figured out here?

Well, you are either mentally ill and people are justly avoiding you, or you are disturbed and in the process of waking and people are protecting their right to dream, or you may be one of the few people who are burning too bright for people to deal with. And in the case of the later, ask yourself whether you are burning people for egoic or for selfless purpose.

Symbolically, you are either going to go through the pain, dying to self, or they are going to fucking crucify you if you keep shining that light in their dark corners. Which death is it?

The real purpose of this post is for you to ask yourself why you are doing it. Be honest with yourself. Why do you insist on shining that light?
