Color Code: Red Personality – Motivation: POWER
Dr Hartman’s personality color code methodology helps us to understand our own and other individual’s motivation and reasoning in life. You will be taught how to recognize and work with different personalities by appreciating, understanding and utilizing each different personalities strengths and weaknesses. You can have one of the following core building blocks since birth but life and its experiences can help you develop secondary blocks to become more balanced.

What makes a Red?
Red - Positives:
They are natural leaders and highly resourceful, thrive on power (taking charges, very responsible) and getting things done; are task and goal orientated, result driven and loves credit for achievement; are fast workers, confident, independent and persistent; are competitive and enjoys challenges; they are risk takers and achievement driven.
Red - Negatives:
They are very demanding (dictatorial in some instances), it is all about themselves (they are always right and love to debate till they win the argument); needs variety and gets bored quickly; could be considered rude due to their bluntness, insensitive to other’s feelings and their poor listening skills; work and getting ahead are more important than people.
What a red expects from you:
In the working environment, they require the following from their colleagues - preciseness; directness; facts; being logical, productive and efficient; do your homework and verbalize your feelings to them.
Things you should never do:
Never show a red your fear; don’t ask them if you do not want to hear the hard truth; do not be indecisive, emotional or slow; Do not attack them personally or embarrass them. Your reds you will mostly find in leadership roles.
I have personally worked with both good and bad red personalities. The ones I have dealt with are highly intelligent and charismatic but "If they are good, they are truly good, if they are bad, they are very bad". As a person with a "Blue" core I actually appreciated their guidance, leadership and ability to get things done but will never make one my best friend though as they do not share their own emotions or enjoy others, walking over you (even as their best friend) will mean nothing to them if it will assist in them reaching their goals.

Thank you juvyjabian. I find peoples behaviour interesting and I love to analyze them. I have seen how much it helps and makes a difference in your relationship with your children, spouce and in the working environment when you know what personalities they are and treat them accordingly.
Its a matter of check and balance. Knowing what and who they are is an important factor in dealing with them.
I remember the first time I took the test. I was equally spread between blue, white and Yellow. I recently took the test again and turned out to be a dominant blue. Looking forward to your next article.
Thank you thegoldencookie. You must remember when you take the test you must in the first 35 questions think back as how you were when a young child of about 8-10 years old. Core always stay dominant and then you have the secondary colors which change over the years depending on your circumstances .
