RE: Supreme Court Won't Take Up Eminent Domain Case After Land Owners Had Property Taken Without Compensation

in #property5 years ago

I am kinda baffled by folks that look at eminent domain and comprehend that government allows their property to be taken as theft, but do not grasp that theft is the underlying basis for government entirely. What do they expect? Taxation is theft. Government is nothing but a gang that they agree has their authority over them and their property and is dependent on taking their assets.

I am sure they would recognize the futility of asking a mugger to return their wallet. Adding a bunch of rhetoric to the holdup doesn't essentially modify the transaction, and voting for one mugger over another doesn't either. What does modify the transaction is being armed, and being nominally capitalized potentiates aiming muggers at the assets of others instead of yours. It's called lobbying.

Going to court against a mugger you have authorized to prey on you is just begging the mugger for mercy. Hope that works for them, but I'm not going to hold my breath until they get some compensation for the assets they have lost. This is a good example of why folks with higher IQ tend to attain greater success.
