RE: WIP -screenshots of Steve Zissou digital drawing/proof it is not just a "filter".
Very cool to see WIP, even if under unfortunate circumstances. Very cool artwork.

This is really out of control. I will never interact with the troll and his words mean jack shit to me but somehow people are apparently fooled by his BS without even looking at his -6 profile. So, now I have to defend my art. >_>
start acknowledging the images you use as source
You accused her of simply applying filters to the image. You have been proven wrong. Immediately acknowledge and apologize for that, garbage creature.
Yeah, it's really quite absurd...
To be fair he does have a valid point in regard to using photo reference without permission. I'm not saying that is your case at all, just in general.
Making a derivative work from a photograph used as reference where it's obvious the photograph has been copied is frowned upon if not outright illegal depending on circumstances.
Under most circumstances nobody is going to know where the reference came from if it's something like trees or animals, but a human face is pretty easy to identify and without permission of the owner, well what can we say? It's derivative, right?
If it's for ones own artistic practice and personal enjoyment there is no issue at all, but to profit from it, is not so cool. This is part of the potential issues Steemit can have. Someone can so easily get paid for something they have no right to profit from.
That being said, I'm behind you on this one @lauralemons . I don't see the problem with this particular artwork. Keep on keepin' on!!
Yeah, I agree with that point myself. Which is why my newest post is a drawing of a friend/steemer I got permission from. :)
That is a valid point but this is srsly a troll whos been stalking me for over a month and he was saying I applied a filter to a photo and blogged about me being a con-artist. His point wasn't even the one you made. He repeatedly commented as if he had proof my art was not drawn digitally but was a filter which I proved him wrong on.
and I hadn't really thought of that issue. I wasn't even thinking of that. I will either alter the piece significantly in the future or use friends photos with permission when posting here I guess.
Regardless repeatedly spamming my photo and calling me a liar who didnt draw this with no proof was unwarranted.
I agree with you entirely. I just noticed his other comment here somewhere and I was replying to that point only. You're doing fine! Keep up the good work!
I don't really think it would be illegal to post it here but selling it outright would definitely be illegal from what I am gathering. Regardless I will stick to posting non fan art here.
