Promo-Mentors Writing Challenge - What I have learned! : Death's Gift

Im sure you're all wondering why does the title says "Deaths Gift". Don't worry I understand why, we all know that death brings sorrows to the family of the dead one BUT sometimes death also bring a new path to the light and a great restart for a family.

Come and hear my experience that changed me or should I say us, our whole family.

We lived in a small house, on that house there are 3 families my family, my mothers brother and sisters family are there too. Well the house was originally from our grandma and grandpa they passed away so it's ours now. we decided all to settle on this house and dividing equal parts of the house.
At first we lived peacefully together but there was this certain time where everything broke to pieces.

I still remember that day like it was just yesterday. I've been wakened up early because of the commotion that's happening. I've heard cursed words everywhere then i heard my mom crying so I've run up to her and hugged her, everyone in our house was angry and my mom was still crying, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to do. Im still young by that time, But not that super young. I know what's right or wrong that time. well after i hugged my mom then i asked her why is she crying but she didn't answer. Then the next day comes and everyone on our house had calmed down, even my mom has calmed down. I took this opportunity to ask her a question, a question that's bothering me since the day before this, why is she crying and why are they throwing cursed words with my uncle and aunt. Then at long last she answered my questions, she told me the whole story behind this commotion that have happened. She told me that she is tailing on my dad for the past days because the salary he gives isn't enough for us, but when you look on the payslip it's more than the money he gives to us, so she started following my dad whenever he goes out. Then One night my aunt and my dad coincidentally got out of our house at the same time, then my worried mother sees them on the same store and they're chatting. My mom assumed that the reason for the loss of the salary of my dad was because of third party. that' why early morning she confronted my aunt and my dad and that was the time that i got up from the bed and heard some cursing.

The day after the commotions everyone was calm but I noticed something strange, the smile on my mother mothers face had became faint and it feels like behind that smile there's a hate. after she told me the story, she instructed me to stay away from my aunt and uncle. my aunt that was suspected as the third party also instructed his child to stay away from us and the last family became neutral to both. this war of our household, starts in a day became a week and then became years. We have 2 uncles that was not on the house one's a priest here on the Philippines and the other one's a teacher in New York. after the incident our two uncle picked a side to help, well the one from the New York helped us and my uncle that was a priest helped my other uncle and aunt. Days passed, years passed we received helps from our uncles but the war is still going on until this last last year 2016.

On a day in the year 2016, we've received an information that my priest uncle, died from a heart attack. Everyone felt sad everyone cried. but what can we do, God thinks that he finished his mission on the earth so he took him back to the heaven. the funeral was at our house. and as expected a lot of people came to see one last time my uncle. then at the very last day of the funeral for paying the respect on for our dead uncle my mother and my aunt that she suspected became friends again and until now they're treating each other like family do. We, the Children of them are happy too cause somehow our broken family became complete once again. We thanked our uncle for letting us know that we need to stop acting like a child and death is just anywhere and it could grab you anytime, so be a family and enjoy the rest of our life together as a family.

Experience that could never be forgotten, the gifts and the memories our uncle gave won't be gone and will stay forever in our hearts.
