My Promo-Mentors Writing Challenge - Project ILAZRA (A musician support iniciative)
Welcome to the ILAZRA project!
Welcome to my project my dear readers!, I'm going to talk a little about me and my project here on Steemit and why it should be supported for anyone here on the platform. I accepted the #promomentors-challenge (I know that the challenge said that you mention a project that is not yours, but I prefer to show you my personal project). I want to be a change and a way to support (in a music level) to the steemians that show a great talent but their work doesn't have the remuneration that deserve.
My name is Guillermo Hernández, I'm a songwriter, composer and singer of 23 years old, from Caracas, Venezuela. I have a dream since I have 5 years old that is be an amazing musician to share my love/happiness/freedom message that you'll find on my songs for all over the world.
The fame is something that I'm not interested, because the fame and the money are superficial things that we don't bring with us when our arrive on this travel called life end. I prefer to change the lives of all the people that takes 3 minutes to listen what can i do and (for at least that 3 minutes) forget all the bad thoughs and be happy, just for a second. If I can change the live of someone for at least 3-4 minutes, then my mission is complete.
The beginning
It all started when I was 5 years old. I began to sing in small choirs of all the schools where I studied from childhood until I left high school. In 2008 I entered in the world of music when I learned to play my first instrument: The "cuatro" (the venezuelan typical instrument).
One year later I learned to play the guitar, then 2 years later I began to compose my first songs, over there for 2011 I started to make music in a professional way, so I decided to start my first musical career under the pseudonym McAzra, it was a really great time, with my first musical compositions that , in fact, they came to a good audience in the city where I live.
In that days, I was what people knows today as influencer. I used a lot the Twitter to make streamings and alive performances, too much Twitcams to invite my public to my shows, receiving an amazing feedback from my "groopies" (they used to call themselves "Violazradoras").
Around 200 people (fixed) listened to me and went to any event to which I invited them (even if they had to pay entrance fee). All of them sang all my songs in any event, it was something incredible.
Not all was happiness
When I started my musical career to move from a hobby to a profession, not everything was as beautiful as I described it before, in fact, my parents never supported me in my beginnings, they told me that being a musician was going to be a failure and that I was going to die of hunger for trying.
But I said: well, I'd rather die of happy hunger than be a millionaire and be sad in an office doing something I do not love.
In spite of that, at the crucial moment of my life, as I was leaving high school, I had to choose my professional career and I did not go for music because, when I had to choose, I went for the computing world, because the voice of my father telling me that my music career would be a failure was heard in my head every day when I played my guitar composing songs.
It was not a bad decision either because I graduated and I even became bilingual learning English for learning how to develop and defend myself in the world of programming.
Today, I am a certified Microsoft programmer, I know about 6 programming languages (including assembler) and besides that, I make good music, it is a win-win hahaha
A music support iniciative
Ok, now lets go into the matter and lets get into the point. The Promo-Mentors's Challenge is to talk about your project and why it should be supported.
I have a dream since I started here on Steemit. I want to be a music curation whale, because I want to support so much good talents that I see day by day reviewing my feed and tags like "music", "cover", "originalmusic", "openmic" and more.
I started to love the talent that this beautiful platform brings us when I started participating in the Steemit Open Mic, because there are talents that are not from this planet and many of them are not as remunerated as they should be. I want to be that change, I want to be the person who is responsible for noticing them and giving them the compensation that they deserve, that's why I created a very visionary project on the platform, which I started with small dissemination mechanisms for those talents since I still the investment on my vote because It does not have a weight to reward them myself for their work.
I want to inspire all the talents that read or listen to my songs or to see my post and know how I do things, and for this reason I have dedicated myself to creating a good artist CV on the platform, which I present below:
- Winner of the Steemit Open Mic on Week 82, with this song:

In addition, I make reviews to show the great talents that we have in the Spanish-speaking community participating in the Steemit Open Mic week by week.
If you want to read them, i'll leave it here to you:

So, in short, what I want is to become a whale of musical curation to be able to give the value and the remuneration that those hidden talents deserve among Steemit's newbies, either by misuse of labels, or by not having so many contacts on the platform and others.
I spend week after week listening to many good talents to give my sincere opinions (not so much in a technical aspect because I'm not really a graduate music producer, but that's my next goal) to help them grow on the platform.
In fact, I also helped to found a Spanish-speaking community called @venebohemians, I have a musical podcast called "El Sonido De Ilazra" in that community and in two more communities called @mosqueteros and @engranaje (in this one the podcast is called "Engránate Live"). In these programs I usually do live curation of music related post (reviews, covers, contest participations, etc), I present musical talents to the communities so that they can follow them, listen to their music and (in fact) I make them present themselves in the best way: singing / playing live.
I also give a lot of advice with my little knowledge about the platform (use of labels, markdown and others).
I'm a music lover and an really really altruist person who want to share some love to all that believe in me (and those who not too), I just want to change the world.
Note by note. And I want to start giving some weight to the #ilazra tag, to show good music quality content.
Thank you so much for this iniciative! I hope that my entry can inspire you to support a project that also will support many others and make that the first law of Steemit keep going: Make community!
Just STEEM ON! and thank you so much @promo-mentors for make this iniciative to show the world what is happening in background on the platform and to know all the iniciatives that make us grow day by day. Good vibes and blessings always!
Excelentes tus iniciativas... Voy siguiendo de cerca tu trabajo.
ÉXITOS!
