Thank you to those that read, upvoted, commented and resteemed the first part of this series, it mean a lot to me.

This is the continuation to the series, you can read about the first part here

Continuation...

This my new friend is now getting to understand what steemit is all about and I am beginning to envy his progress, I think I need to up my game too. Smile

Flagging people for every offenses is never a good way to build an healthy community, don't misunderstand me. Flagging should be the least method to be applied when dealing with issues that concern the newbies and the minnows.

Those that understand the law and still break it, should be broken by the law, not those that no nothing about the law.

But, flagging the newbies who are just finding their feet on the platform should not be considered without warning them or giving them some lectures on how steemit works.

A lot of them are coming from other social networks like facebook where nobody cares about plagiarism. As far as I am concerned, facebook, twitter, instagram and whatsapp are four most used social platforms all over the world, and nobody is flagging anybody for plagiarism on those platforms, remember that that is where this people are coming from.

If we don't take time to teach them, how would they know? Most of them believe that steemit is like any of those platforms listed above. In fact, I have introduced someone to steemit using facebook as an example. Our conversation look like the following;

I asked him how he would feel if he should be paid for doing just what he has been doing on facebook on other social platforms, of which he replied; "he would be so much happy" if such an individual should now come on board and start doing what he has been doing on facebook and we flag him as a result. Is it his fault, my fault or whose fault?

Ever since I came in contact with that my new friend, I have been leaving messages behind for those that plagiarized. Some of them are so genuine, they will hook up with you with the mind of learning from you. And they become better after learning the operation of steemit.

Not too long ago, one of my brother whom I introduced to steemit was flagged for copying sport news from a sporting site and posted it word for word.
He was flagged and when he traced those that flagged him to know why he was flagged, he was just too bold to know why, because he had no idea of what he had done. Smile
They told him why and he confessed to the crime, he said he did not know that such was not allowed on steemit.

When those people saw how genuine he was, they lifted the flag and adopted him as mentee, he has been trained by them on how to go about steemit, and he is doing fine now. Isn't that beautiful than just to flag them?

I only use him and the other person as examples, their are a lot of people within the walls of steemit facing the same issue, let's try to be close to them to know about their challenges before we add to their struggling.

I'm not in anyway in support of plagiarism or any other crime on steemit, in fact, it is better to flag an individual who refuse to change after warning.

If we invest same amount of commitment invested in flagging people on helping them, steemit would become better not interm of numbers account created alone but in term of value added by the active users as well. And most of those that are leaving steemit without leaving a trace would be encouraged to stay and fight for their way to the top as well.

Bringing people to steemit is not easy, it won't be good enough to be destroying the work of those that are labouring to bring in people by sending them out with useless flagging.

Let's find someone to adopt today, when that one stand, he will be able to train another, and before we know it, our community will be growing both in number and in value.

I am @emmakkayluv and I love you all

Your friend was one of the lucky few. A lot of newbies dont have such luck and run into serious flagging that kills their steemit career, before it even begins.

I really go with your view that flagging is not the solution for every offence and it should be toned down.

Let's the campaign begin with you sir. Don't join others in criticizing this new comers about what they don't know. Rather, let's join forces to ensure they have good foundation.
