The Quest To Earn A Bitcoin From Steemit Continues - Some Thoughts & Money Making Tips

in #promo-steem6 years ago (edited)

No one said this was going to be anywhere close to easy. This is my third post in an effort to accrue 1 BTC worth of Steem in my savings account from this ongoing post series to build a success story we can use for marketing to our friends, family, and the general public. I'll do the blogging to grind it out, if you could kindly help me at times along the way.

Yes, I already have Bitcoin, and can buy more, but that's not the point. This is an exercise to show what Steemit and Steemians are capable of on the blockchain.

The overall goals are to keep me motivated to use Steemit, for everyone's entertainment, and to create a clear-cut success story anyone can use for marketing purposes and inspiration.

Adoption is critical, but *retention and *utility are more important. Grassroots campaigns like this can be powerful, relatable, and motivational. I believe the message associated with this type of content can do a lot of good for the ecosystem as it builds up... Steem...

Advice:

As cryptocurrency prices are in a bearish decline, this is a great opportunity to double down on some of your favorite tokens with fiat, if it's responsible to do so. As always, you could take your liquid Steem/SBD earnings and swap them for other coins as purchasing power is relatively equivalent as most coins are trending downward at roughly the same rate.

This is also a good time to find ways to build your active follower base, earn by blogging, and CURATE. The Steem blockchain is built to reward people for interacting with it, so we simply have to do so. Yes, rewards in terms of fiat value are sliding down, but it won't be forever.

Value-Add Info: Need quick cash?

  • As promised, here's some advice on how to make some side-hustle money from thrifting or upcycling... my specialties.
  • A great way to score quick money on eBay is to sell your vacuum cleaner for PARTS on eBay.
  • Selling something in parts almost always makes far more revenue than if you sold it as a whole.
  • Depending on the quality model you have, it's very easy to take high-demand parts from your unit and sell them online.
  • Examples of parts are: electric hoses, electric floor brushroll, power wand, motor, cord rewinder, etc..
  • Many valuable vacuums I find on the street for free easily net me $200-$300 in revenue/profit.
  • Some power hoses can go for as much as $140, while some motorized brushrolls can go for $50-$100.
  • Some hoses are so popular that they often sell within hours.
  • Look up parts for your vacuum's model number on eBay under the recently sold section to see what current market prices are.
  • Use rubbing alcohol to wipe off scuffs and dirt. It's magic that will make your parts look like new.

Let me know if you have any questions.

My introductory anouncement post made a nice humble splash, and had two nice votes from veteran Steemians. It's hard to quantify the rewards because prices are falling, but it was the first buck or two towards my end goals here.

My second post on new adopter mindset was focused on why it's important to have first-hand success stories and to understand that Steemit is a no-risk gateway into the crypto space.

As always, all liquid earnings from this post and sizable/trackable comment upvotes will go into my Steem savings account to keep track of. I'll also never upvote my own content on this series or my comments.

Keep checking back in.

Thanks for your support!

Keep good work every time .

Thanks for sharing @steemmatt
Upvote you .

Those are good tips. Thanks. You are a pro at re-selling.

Good luck dude>

I tried to work with vacuums but the product always sucks.

Maybe you should use a broom and dust pan. Just like the Twins in their last 4 playoff appearances, people in Minnesota seem to be good at being swept.

ZING!

They are a fine farm team.
