RE: Doing My Part Promoting Steem - Weekly threads on Bitcointalk!!
A lot of people that join the platform, just end up leaving after a while.
It's always that money thing. New peeps see other established people getting 10x what they are for content that is worse than theirs and see it as non-justice.
If they chatted the mantra, 'I get more here than anywhere else' over and over again then that may work.
The money complexity may just be STEEM's undoing. Yet there are ways for newbies to gain some recognition and rewards, they just don't know how.
Yeah, I've recently found a pretty popular guy on Youtube, who is now trying out Steemit (@kleshguitars). I think i'm going to take some time to explain everything to him, because I don't want him to think he's posting here for nothing.
He recently got a vote from c-squared and didn't even know what it meant. The whole onboarding process should be simplified IMO.
@anomandsoul is working on a project that should make things easier for the onboarding process I think. As long as I understand it correctly. I think @slobberchops is right though. Unless they find a way to better reward users for actual good content, it might be a non issue.
Oh yeah, he mentioned that yesterday at @msp-waves :D
Its bewildering when you start here. Talk about a steep learning curve, its no wonder the retention rate is so low.
Steep is even an understatement almost. We're talking vertical wall here :D
Hey @daan check out @ura-soul’s project @passport-to-steem for onboarding tech simplification initiatives here I see their discord link https://discord.gg/zhUHaz
