We Actually Made It!

Bye-bye Profile Pictures and Hello Real-Faces of UAE Steemians 😊😊😊

The crowd was overwhelming... though some of confirmed attendees were not able to come but it was filled with invites and it turned out to be 38 plus the kids. WOW!

SET UP

While @arrliin, me and @prinsepong is getting the projector, @kennyroy and @divinekids are already in the venue setting up the place. _{Oooppssiiee... @kennyroy only has small balloon pump that barely blows so he just used his super power...}

By the time we reached, the banner and balloons are set so we tried the projector but end up using the TV hdmi to computer. And oohh yeaahh,,, all set!!

Then @prinsepong asked me for nametags so that it will be easy to familiarize the name. Ooohh... I thought we're ready... so we went to the nearest Baqala (store), grab masking tape and marker and when we came back, just on time as the excited Steemians started arriving.

STEEMIANS ARRIVING

We printed list of confirmed attendees and just asked Steemians to sign and put their username and contact details. It didn't take much time we reached 25 numbers so we started the program as it was also getting late and our tummies are already complaining. 😁😁😁

PRESENTATION

@arrliinn strated the presentation with What Is Steemit, How Can I Earn In Steemit, then Basic Formatting and Finding Your Niche. She also explained what is curation, how do I get big Curie votes, how do I get noticed and other Steemit tools.

It's a great presentation and kudos to you my friend, @arrliinn, as she just made the presentation a day before the event! #PrettyInPressure 😊😊

After her half an hour presentation, we just had a break for sumptuous food:

• Mushroom Soup
• Asian Salad
• Shrimp Pancit Canton
• Dynamite Chicken
• Vegetables Springrolls
• Sweet & Sour Fish
• Of course...RICE!!
• Leche flan

She also played @monkeypattycake's video while everyone's eating.

Right after eating, the second part of the presentation started. It is @kennyroy's turn and he discussed about wallet.

He discussed how to transfer SBDs and ways to encash it with a tutorial on how to do it, step by step.

There was a Q&A portion too and Steemians are really asking questions. 😊😊😊

SUCCESS!!

It was indeed a successful event! We were even hesitant if we can have 15 attendees at least but ended 38 which is overwhelming crowd. This will definitely just the first of many UAE Steemians get togethers as everyone enjoyed and had fun.

More than the Steemit Discussion and Payout Infos, it is the "meeting and greeting" new people and gaining new friends. It is the bond and rapport that was built. At least now the comments and reactions we are getting and giving are now more valuable as we know we have made the connection.
