Birthday Getaway 😘

Last Thursday night (8th March) me and Bubsy flew to Kuala Lumpur for our birthday getaway but this time with my parents' permission 😎. We flew of from labuan airport and reached KLIA2 at 2245hrs. At 0015hrs we took a bus from the airport to Melaka Sentral which took us roughly about 2hours 30mins ride. A 40 seater bus was made into a spacious and very comfortable seats which was divided into 3 seats in a row. We booked the bus tickets in advance via online (redbus). My friend and her daughters were supposed to join us but due to other circumstances she had to cancel her trip to Melaka with us and stayed in Kuala Lumpur instead.

We decided to stay in Novotel Hotel since it is located in the heart of Malacca Town, a walking distance to all the interesting places and malls to visit. The moment we checked into the hotel, the staff were very welcoming and they were very humble and soft spoken towards their guest. Once we entered the room it was very spacious, clean toilets with a nice view of the town, The room provides you with free breakfast i.e the breakfast was fantastic to those 'Nasi Lemak' lover should try their nasi lemak the sambal paste is very spicy and the rendang ayam will increase your apetite.

The next afternoon, we started out the journey to visit the famous Laksa Melaka restaurant called Jonker 88. We ordered 1x Baba Durian Ice Kacang & 2x Baba Laksa. The total amount we spend was RM33 only. I love the viscosity and the strong taste of the curry laksa mixed with creamy coconut milk and I admired the structure of the old building.

After the meal we took the chance roaming around Hang Tuah Street, where you can find preserved architecture building, the view from the street is phenomenal some of the bulidings were existed as early as 1937 even before the World War II broke out.

Since the day was hot, we crashed into one of the famous coffee shop in Melaka called The Daily Fix. Once we entered the cafe we were amazed with the set up of the cafe, maintaining their vintage theme. We ordered a Cafe Latte and Cold Brew Earl Grey Chocolate it was very refreshing worth RM25. I love the combination taste of Earl Grey & Chocolate .
