#promo-steem... and it's only the beginning!
#promo-steem... the next big thing!
Having been a member of the Steemit community for over a year now, I've had the privilege of watching this amazing site grow exponentially as well as see the start of some ingenious initiatives. However, the idea that has stunned me the most has got to be #promo-steem. It is the fastest growing tag for promotional activities here on Steemit, distributing 183,520.518 SBD (Steem back dollars) since being launched in July of 2017. Therefore, it is evident to me that #promo-steem is something that brings about commitment and willingness from current Steemians to help enhance everyone's knowledge of Steem, Steemit inc and the Steem blockchain!
Where it all began... #promo-uk
#promo-uk was first established by @stephenkendal in April 2017 when he bought a box of 5000 flyers for £50 and went out onto the street handing out as many as he could. This then grew to a team of over 20 people in the UK handing out flyers, t-shirts, business cards and other merchandise.
The 1st #promo-uk meetup in Wolverhampton with @stephenkendal, @starkerz, @steemblogs and @zoltanbristol. We spent hours discussing Steemit and thoroughly enjoyed sharing our perspectives of Steem/Steemit with one another.
Following on from the #promowolverhampton meetup, we did some promotional work close to Manchester University.
Further promotional activities took place where we spent the day delivering leaflets to many homes across Wolverhampton with @stephenkendal, @starkerz, @steemblogs and @yvonneyoung.

Looking back on such fond memories allows me to show you just how far promotional work has come. I hope this motivates you to get involved with spreading the word of #promo-steem in your area and wish you all the success in promoting Steemit!

Wow. Promoting Steemit is the best one can do here cos with that we make more people financially stable and independent upon anyone. I now know the origin of this steemit meet-ups here and there. Every now and then is meet-up in Nigeria at various locations
