Summary discussion of Abuja-Steem Meet up/Workshop

The first ever Abuja-Steem meet up held on the 17th,Feb. 2018 and I was there live and it was loud. It was organised by @xpency, @jacobite, @chiama and @anjiba. The event was braced by highly notable Steemians across the country.

For those who were unable to come due to reasons beyond them. You may miss the event but didn't miss the opportunity it brings as I am going to run the summary of how it went down.

The master of ceremony was done by @mediahousent, good at the job I must say. He asked few persons how they got to know about Steemit. Some were through friends and other on facebook.

The Guest speakers were @ehiboss @fisteganos @gbenga @ejemai @nairadaddy @destinysaid and @michaelCJ and they were all spectacular.

@Ehiboss

The first speech was given by @ehiboss (our slim daddy swag) who talked about steemit and having a Niche. He talked about how hard steemit about a year ago and when you find yourself in steemit always "know who you are". People need to know you for a particular thing which is your niche, like me now. "I am a noisemaker" and go at it. He also talked about SBD and Steem Power, you can come into steemit with your money and invest and challenge anyone steem power. Steem power is your voting power and SBD is like your investment and which can be left untouched or withdrawn if it so pleases you. You can use it to buy more Steem Power. To stay relevant in Steemit, is either you invest your money or time, he said.

@fisteganos talked about content, in getting a good audience. You need have a content which attract people and have a good relationship with steemians. You need to know people on steemit and if they know you always put hard work and got a good content, you definitely get an upvote from them.

@Gbenga also talked about relationship and complain about people thinking steemit is a follow you, follow me thing. Spoke about how some persons sent him DM telling him " I followed you and you didn't follow back" or "sent you a link and you didn't upvote my post". A person has never sent a chat will suddenly inbox you telling you to vote him/her in a contest. Relationship matters a lot.

@ejemai was all looking frosh and he is a man who knows what it feels to be in the street which doesn't smile at you. You have to find your way to the top and it doesn't come easy. As a newbie, was in steemit for about 6 months without getting a dine coupled with weekly subscription. When I was trying to make friends online, I have been told once to fuck off and been blocked from many steemit channels then but that didn't stop me. Now no one can do that cos they all want to associate with me. He talked about the reality of life, going to school and graduating then going to NYSC and after service, there is no much hopes for a job. Most vacant places you get are banks and which the Manager and other officers have slots and if they employ you, the job is not secure cos its based on contract. Steemit is here and has given the opportunity to work with your initiative from your comfort zone. He thanked the organiser and said those who have earned from steemit are given back to the community.
@ejemai should think picking another job as a motivational speaker cos he is good at him

@nairadaddy, fresh, calm and intellectual medical practitioner who brought a change to the look of steemit in it own way by introducing@Air-clinic. @Air-clinic gives you the same benefit as an hospital but on Air-clinic, you come on steemit and consult a doctor on any health issue and will be attended to free of charge. There are doctors across the globe on @air-clinic who will treat you even in your room.

@destinysaid just like the sound of the name, truly his destiny to be looking fly and well fitted. he spoke about @steemit @dtube @dsound @utopia @dlive.

@steemit is an open source project which reward people for their creativity. Be you a vlogger, blogger, dancer, singer writer. Nigerians are very creative and should use this opportunity steemit has given.
@dtube is more alike like YouTube but have more benefitting features. You can make a video of what you know how to do best and upload it on dtube, and if you get a good audience and your work is good. You get rewarded. Like @michaelCJ he can dance and his own niche is entertainment and shares those dance videos at @dtube but am yet to see Nigerian doing a comedy show on dtube. @dtube is growing by the day and we should use this medium to que in. you all know the benefit of being early birds. Videos must be of good quality.
@dsound are for people who are into music, whether you are a rapper or a singer.@dsound, you can record your original track there.
@utopia.io is an open source project for developers and software creators. They are rooms created for non developers whereby they can make suggestions to the developer in order to effect changes to make the software better. If your suggestion is a good one, you get rewarded for it.
**@dlive are for those who loves streaming live videos in whatever so others steemians can see and also drop their comments.

@michaelCj always on points, with six packs looking like a music star and ginger of terry G, better hold your girlfriend close when you see him cos she might be falling for him wen you meet him. He talked about Steem Camp where they will be promoting steemit and they are invading Unizik and a Steem football competition also a Beauty pageant where they will have to display their various talents.

The meet up was fun, interactive and educative. You need to have seen @ehiboss apple @Mimy. looking fresh but if you must look, do that with one eye close. Prof. Amara(chiama), Rejoice and other females were all looking beautiful. even fell in love there.
