Water scarcity has been a great challenge of the third quarter of Africa, especially in the south Saharan side. This has been a continuous challenge since centuries when ancestors used only rain and rivers water. Water scarcity has caused may problems as body dehydration, malnutrition and other health and agricultural related issues.
Water plays a bigger role in subsaharian Africa countries and African countries have failed to make ways in order to provide a continuous flow of water.

Why am I relating steemit to water scarcity in Africa?

Steemit is a solution to various essential African problems but many have failed to grab the opportunities that is presented unto them. It's like a history that was once said but not adopted. Some people view steemit as an unrealistic cryptocurrency game and others view it as an important source of living compared to water. In Africa, precisely in Uganda, the country has various flows of rivers and lakes but the funny thing is that the country is facing continuous drought due to climate challenge. I do not believe that drought and famine are synonyms and always believe that each drought can still be turned unto prosperity as other Asian countries as Qatar, Arabi soudite did. In, short, opportunities are always presented unto our eyes and we always fear or resist to grab them.
I mean, if water scarcity plays a bigger role in Africa, steemit does also in improving social welfare

What do you mean by Steemit improving social welfare?

It is estimated that in Africa, people live with 1 US dollar or less. According to the United nations almost 70 percent of the population in Africa are poor. Meaning that, they can not afford three meals per day and can not have appropriate shelter and other living expenses. In addition, there are no available jobs for graduates who end up returning to their home villages instead of playing proactive actions to raise the standard of living in their countries.

Here is the opportunity.

According to the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, each graduate with a bachelor degree has a minimum of at least 600 thousands Ugandan shillings( approximately 166 US Dollars ). I must admit that this level of income is little and does not corresponds to their services delivered. It is still funny to imagine that I have been able to raise 15 steem dollars from just a post, corresponding to 120 US Dollars a day, almost reaching the monthly salary of a bachelor degree worker in africa.

Steemit can end poverty by raising the level of income

Some people do not believe that a person can earn just from a post. It is possible and I have seen it with my own eyes. If I can be able to generate a 2 steem per day yet I joined 2 weeks back, how will it be 5 month latter? Think about it. I do not know the steemit CEO or the various steemit promoters, but if you are an African or part of other developing countries reading this post, please grab the opportunity. We do have a lot to share, stories to tell, life to spread and we can still keep them for ourselves.
