About 10 days ago, i was invited by the organizers of a blockchain empowerment summit to come and speak to individuals currently on National Service somewhere in North Central Nigeria about Steemit and how their skills are vital in promoting opensource materials on the internet via Utopian-io

The organizers L-R: @rankyb , @godsnana and @joyce-okpobo I cant stop clapping for them, they did a wondeful job in preparing the logistics (venue, refreshments and projector). As at 2pm, everything was already on set. The program went smoothly with no hitches

@lordjames spoke about an introduction to blockchain, cryptocurrency, steem and steemit. The talked about the most questions asked by newbies and did justice to the questions thrown at him. He made emphasis on how steemit was not a get rich quick scheme and requires hardwork, dedication and sacrifice

@uche-nna was the next speaker and he spoke about how to make imjact in the community, he used himself as an example who is making impact in the #steemjet community. He added about taking advantage different platforms liked Zappl, Dtube, Dlive, Utopian-io, Busy.org and steepshot.

@jingis07 (that's me) spoke about how to use your skills to contribute to opensource contributions in 12 areas like Analysis, Development, Graphics, Copyrighting, Visibility, Documentation, Blog etc through @utopian-io. We could all make impact in our little ways, But one thing i emphasized was that quality is very important and only the best of the best would be rewarded.

@joyce-okpobo also spkoe about how to meet people and make friends on the platform. She spoke about the importance of building relationship through channels like discord, Telegram, WhatsApp.
