Smart Commenting in Relationship Building 2: MY PRESENTATION AT OWERRI STEEMIT MEET UP

in #promo-steem7 years ago (edited)

History was made on March 17th, 2018 in the city of Owerri, Imo State. The city hosted great steemians in their numbers.

It was a wonderful opportunity to meet, brainstorm and share ideas. The meet up was organized by @eurogee of @euronation.

Lots of steemians were in attendance and presentations were made by
@tojukaka
@gloglo
@ehiboss
@destinysaid
@nairadaddy
@xpency
and a drama presentation by @mimy.

I did a presentation on Smart Commenting on Relationship Building.

This is the second part of the presentation.

Excerpts from the video

  1. Be Sincere: You don't want to be found telling Jack that you love dogs that can recognize people and the next day you are caught telling Jill that you hate such dogs. You would only portray a bad image of you.

  2. Reply comments on your own post: Do this when a comment requires a response. You don't want to leave people feeling stupid for commenting on your post.

  3. Never Beg for Upvotes or for follows: This is frowned upon here.

  4. Upvote before Commenting: If there are reasons why you won't be able to upvote yet, state it. Or better still come back when you can upvote. Even if you comment before upvoting just ensure you don't leave that blog without an upvote.

Smart commenting will help you build quality relationships. Make it a promise to thyself to never drop shitty comments.

The first part of the video is here

I will bring you more clips from the meet-up.

I am @gee1 and I am the Steem evangelist.

Everyday of my life, I yearn to make people happy. I want to be the reason someone in another continent smiles. I want to be the reason someone in another country, village, city is able to pay their tuition or that of their child/children.

I hope soon enough the worth of my upvote on people's post will be enough for them to buy a meal. I want to make people feel so much love. I am already doing that, I hope that soon enough I will be able to reach more people.

Thanks for reading.

Replying to comments on one's post really works, when I joined steemit newly I was welcomed warmly but I didnt know because I didn't receive notifications from steemit on people that commented which made me reply after so many days😣😣😣. Thanks to @busy.org that gets me notified on any activity that goes on in my account 😃😃😃. Replying to comments also gets you new friends who will like to interact more with you.

Someone is now a busy.org addict😁😁😁. I can see it in your words. Replying comments on one's post definitely make your followers always Want to drop you messages. Thereby increasing engagements

"comment before upvote". Just learnt that from your post. I do upvote before even commenting. Thanks for a lovely piece of building relationships @gee1. Sincerity all the way!.

That was a mistake dear. I meant upvote before commenting. Whichever you decide to but by all means ensure you upvote any post you leave a comment on.

It was an awesome meetup and I was opportune to hear this woman teach, she's a good teacher and ever since that meetup I've been more actively involved on Steemit thanks @gee1 keep the good work rolling.
