CAMPUS Guild Technical Update
New Steem Ambassadors added
I'm pleased to have added the following approved Steem Ambassadors to the guild engine:
There are a couple more names to be added to the guild engine once their applications are approved, but as of today there are now 59 Steem Ambassadors in the guild engine.
A couple of other changes to the way that CAMPUS handles errors (timeouts, network locks etc) on the blockchain have also been introduced.
About CAMPUS
I have been asked a few times by different people about what CAMPUS actually is.
Basically, CAMPUS is the engine which is driving a fully decentralised community curation engine. It ensures that a concensus must be reached of trusted and elected Steem Ambassadors before an upvote can be earned from a central pot (the @steem-ambassador account)
Campus stands for Community Automated Multi Proof-of-brain Upvoting System. It currently only powers the @steem-ambassador guild, which rewards posts which use the #promo-steem tag.
#promo-steem is a tag which is open for anyone to use who is providing details of what they have done to promote the STEEM blockchain, the Steemit platform and other valuable educational, cultural and humanitarian projects which raise awareness of the blockchain.
Currently, the @steem-ambassador account has over 20 delegators, including a couple of top 20 Witnesses who delegate to it.
There are also a few people who provide essential background administrative/mentoring/support services, including @hungryhustle, @futurethinker, @themeanbean, @redrica and @honeybee11, as well as myself and @starkerz. It should be noted that all these people work entirely voluntarily, and we thank them for the amazing efforts they are putting in.
