Awesome Kris!

Question why did you choose UE between Unity and UE?

Well, I'd lie if I'd say I wasn't in a dilemma. It was almost a headache, even. But I tried Googling and doing some research even if I didn't really go in depth much...

They both are powerful engines and do a great job in both 3D and 2D games.

I learned while both are freeware, Unity has some features restricted unless you buy Pro and UE has more features all for free (well, okay, if you publish and earn from your game, UE will take 5% of the earnings).

Also UE has a feature called Blueprints which I'd like to try out. Apparently it's for creating games without the need to write code at all. 🤔

That aside, I've seen people in the GameDevTV community say they've mostly worked on one engine and are now trying out learning the other, so maybe I'll try Unity aswell later on, or any other engine.

Fair enough, when it comes to Unity, I've "developed" games there for ~4 months now and haven't yet found anything restricting me, even done collaboration so sort of like "google drive" thing and teammate can pick my project up and start working on it.

I would also like to try out UE some time, but need a bit more practice first.

Good luck to you anyway! :P
