Wanna drive the NSA crazy? Check this out !!!

Do you have this creepy feeling while surfing the web? NSA, Google, Facebook, everybody watching and saving our personal data? Its time to go invisible!!!

So here comes an easy way to protect your privacy, if you have to or if you just want to! (Best way to do the initial installation is via Public Wifi)

First we need to download and install two tools:

Tor Browser https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en

tor
Open Tor Browser and go to AirVPN https://airvpn.org/ and download the AirVPN software for your PC/ Linux/ Mac etc.

airvpn

Create an AirVPN Account using a disposable e-mail address https://www.mailinator.com/ or any other one you want to use for the signup process (don't use your private email, if you do so, AirVPN knows who you are). AirVPN is not free, use some bitcoins to pay for your account (Use BTC or other Crypto which are not traceable, i.e. freshly mined BTC or Crypto, or BTC paid in Cash for)

Install AirVPN on your Computer, Linux or Mac and open the application.

Enter your Login and Password

airvpn

Above Overview, there is the Settings Tab, Click and go to Preferences/Protocols (You will see, that Automatic is selected, change that to Tor (see picture) and click on TEST)

If you see the Successful test Message you are all set

Do not close the TOR Browser, it has to be open all the time!

Click Connect to a recommended server and AirVPN will connect to a server somewhere in the world. Voila you are now 100% protected (you can manually chose countries too, if you need an US IP, just select an US server)

Download and install a new browser now, don't use your day to day browser, as you are logged into facebook, google and many more other sites, which will give away your identity! (Install some no-tracking extensions in the new browser, i might write another tutorial for the extensions)

So how is this protecting us from NSA and other spying agencies or our internet provider?

First AirVPN routes you through several Tor nodes, this is already very safe, after jumping through several connections, you are conneted to an AirVPN Proxy Server and from there you are going out into the Internet.

Yeah, you know these Movies, where hackers jump all over the world, before connecting somewhere, you are doing that now, how cool is that?

I made a little chart to explain different methods and security levels. You will see that the Tor+ VPN is the safest one:

proxy

If you were wondering how fast your connection will be, considering you are jumping 8 times around the world, its pretty fast!

Here are the don't do if you want to stay safe:

Don't use Google (use duckduckgo or something similar)

Don't use Chrome or install all possible extensions to disalbe all reporitng functions in chrome

Don't use a Proxy Extension if you use AirVPN

If you need the maximum protection, i.e you are a reporter, a whistle-blower etc.

Buy a new untraceable PC with Cash

Don't use Gmail and Google , use safe email providers and search engines

Search the web for more information regarding the methods i listed here (i can not take any responsibility for your safety, this guide is just your starting point)

I am sure there will be more questions, just post your questions in comments. If there is a better method these days let me know too.

Don't trust TOR fully. It's infiltrated by the CIA and NSA. But thanks for the interesting stuff.

yes good point ! that's the points in using tor + vpn.
have a look at the chart i posted

cute post, but as long as youre on windows or mac, this isnt going to make you that safe.

this is true, but most people wont go onto linux.
i think if you use a completely new computer and tweak settings etc. you could reach enough privacy.
but at the end nothing will be ever 100% safe

? i meant NSA ?

upvoted your post Bitcoin exchange CEO arrested on drug money laundering charges
very interesting !

best way to hide ip is take your computer off the internet lulz informative post thank you

its not that easy. you have to go off the cloud and off the grid.
using smartphones or social media is killing any privacy!

i think its important to show , that we are still able to enjoy our privacy

Good post. TOR is popular, sophisticated, and supported by a very smart community. But nothing is perfect for long in the cybersecurity world. Recently researchers found more than a hundred TOR nodes snooping activities of users. http://www.techworm.net/2016/07/100-tor-nodes-snooping.html TOR will be corrected for this, but the battle continues.
