Prevent and treat hyperlipidemia

The two major lipid components in the blood are cholesterol and triglycerides. Triglycerides play an important role in transporting energy from food into the cell. Hyperlipidaemia is the risk of developing fatty liver, which is worse than loss of liver function and liver cancer. For prevention and treatment of hyperlipidemia, diet plays a decisive role. People with high blood fats should reduce their intake of fats, limit alcohol intake, not smoke because it promotes atherosclerosis and increases blood fat.
