Life and death are in the power of the tongue, Proverbs 8:21. There can not be any truth further than this. We live our lives mostly by the power of our tongues and then forget how important it is that we speak the right things irrespective of the way life makes us feel about ourselevs. You see, the tongue is what makes a man and it is what a man speaks that is used to identify him. Little wonder, we are admonished to speak good words to ourselves and others.

The tongue is a tool that makes or mare and in most cases, it mares and destroys and have been known to do that for as long as the world has existed. Wars and peace have been instituted through the power of the tongue. The tongue have been known to first be responsible for the love in this world and hate as well.
The tongue is a fruit and as such, it may be sweet or sour. Sour seems to be the case with the usage of the tongue because, man has have been known to NEVER use the tongue positively. Man is his own worse enemy and no matter how well laid his intentions are, he will never truly be able to use his tongue for good 100%.
The tongue may just appear to be that slimy chunk of pinky beef inside our mouths, but it is the enabler of speech in man. The tongue is the organ of the human system that guarantees that we are able to speak and speak well.
I have been guilty for using my tongue against myself and others. In my frustration, I have cursed myself because, I thought speaking that way was the right thing to do forgetting that, it is completely in my power to make change effectively felt around and in my life.
Use your tongue wisely and do not be too hasty to condemn yourself because you feel tired or unable to achieve your goals. Do not speak ill of yourself or others because, the words we speak have a way of turning around to become a pot of honey or a bag of sharp rusty swords.
My prayer is that, "you find the power that lies in your tongue and capitalize on it thereby using it to effect change in your life and the world at large." I also pray that, "the curses you may have incurred on yourself through your tongue be identified and that you find the grace to be free from them in Jesus name."
Yes, the tongue, the tongue. Hmm very small amongst the members of the body but very dangerous, .....and boast great things - James 3:5, verse 6-And the tongue is a fire, a World of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. Verse 8 - ...But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil full of deadly poison.
Verse 9 says with it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men......May the Almighty God help us make use of our tongues hollily and righteously. As we read your posts daily, may our ways change daily for the better towards eternity. Thanks for the post @ejemai.
Tongue is a powerful organ. It might serve the purpose of taste but the function is beyond that. Some people are at the peak of enjoyment because of the good use of their tongue and vice versa..
