"Oh Lord, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end... Amen."
It was King David who prayed this prayer in Psalm 7:9 and I can see he did it for the right reasons. Man is wicked and desperately heartless when it comes to the things of life as it should affect his fellow man. As long as the earth remains, the wicked will keep multiplying and their evil deeds will likewise increase because, it is their ministry.
I Feel Blessed!
Man is not himself when he is normal, but give him a mask, and he will spill the bean on himself. There is so much wickedness in the world today and only a prayer like that of today's is needed to help us make sense of this struggle.
Do evil to none, forgive the transgression of your offenders and stay glued to those who make life worth living in peace.
My prayer is that, "God will help you win the battle against the evil ones in your life and cause the reign of the wicked to cease in Jesus Name..."
Make the world a better place for someone today!
Not to rain on your parade, have you considered how long ago David uttered that prayer and how many millions of people have read and repeated it since? You've observed yourself that things are as bad if not worse than when David first made that prayer. Maybe it's time for something other than prayer? it doesn't seem to have done David (or anyone else, for that matter) much good. Instead of wishing and hoping, have you considered actually getting your hands dirty and doing something about the state of the world and humankind?
Just a thought.
