Quite right Joan and what annoys me about it as I have stated here already in the comment thread is that it delivers a false perception and when new comers see some of the people that are on the top (re. reputation numbers) it sends a very negative message.
Never give up, there are always those who arrive with learning to better themselves and stay to strive onto better days.
Whimsical quick 'money' never builds a good name, nor does it leave people looking forward to communicate again, only genuine bloggers build together on the know, like and trust factor.
