Say hello to our newest family member... Herbie!
Today was a VERY special day for all of us, but especially my little boy. We surprised Jude today with the adoption of Herbie. We took him to meet him yesterday but were under the assumption that it would take up to a week for approval, so it was a pleasant surprise when we were contacted only hours after leaving TEARS dog rescue. Jude had gone for a sleepover at granny so we plotted and planned the surprise collection today.
Thank goodness my mom was with us because despite the excitement I felt, I was literally propelled back into a state of complete anxiety as if it were the day I brought Jude back from the maternity ward.... so the mom factor worked wonders.
One day at a time, but loving every second and looking forward to making many memories with this precious little soul!! And a special little twist in the story is that his mommy holds the same name of our kitty tragically lost recently... Holly. If that wasnt a sign....

Oh my gosh, Herbie is absolutely gorgeous!! What an awesome surprise for Jude too; I'm sorry to hear about Holly, but you're right ... the fact that Herbie's mom was named the same, was definitely a sign that lil' Herb belongs with you guys :)

Yes, Jude is officially in love! Mom doing all the hard work naturally haha!!!! but he is helping along the way. Been a long time since I had a dog, cats are SOOOO much easier lol.....

Hey @jaynie! Somehow I missed this lovely comment! Of course you're doing all the work lol. I've always had dogs but now just our two cats ... You're sooo right! They are so much easier, but boy Jude will have a best bud for years :)

Isnt he just!!!!! Jude is in seventh heaven. Oh... and i forgot to mention... guess what his mommies name was.... HOLLY!! ... which we only discovered after we had decided we wanted to meet him.

What a little charmer! You're going to have your hands full. My 'puppy' is 10 years old now with a fully gray (grey?) beard. Dogs are the best.
hehe yes he is! Looking forward to making lots of memories! but agreed!.... I am bloody knackered!!!!!!!!!! lol Thankfully he has taken quickly to sleeping with Jude, so hopefully nights wont be an issue.
He is adorably cute! I can imagine how excited Jude must be right now. Nice name too and yes, he looks smart with good photo sense too hahaha.

Thank you for your sentiment. It was a very difficult time... but we felt it was time for a new beginning.... and Jude is absolutely loving Herbie!

He definitely is, but I am trying so hard to get him to do his business outside lol - all the newspapers in my house is driving me nuts lol
