Porto, Portugal
Today I had a great pleasure to explore such a lovely city as Porto. Its historical core was proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO so it's a must visit in Portugal.
The historic city centre is amazing with its colorful houses, narrow streets full of charm and blue and white tiles/azulejos everywhere.
For those you likes Harry Potter, there is also sonething interesting to see. In Porto there is an old bookshop called Lello Bookshop with spectacle interior architecture which actually inspired the Harry Potter’s library in Hogwarts. In fact, J.K Rowling lived in Porto teaching English in the early 1990s.
When it comes to food, of course, you must try Francesinha, a Portuguese sandwich originally from Porto, made with bread, ham, sausage, steak and covered with melted cheese served with french fries.
Porto is also well-know for its port wine, a very sweet wine with high level of alcohol (17% and above). In Europe fortified wine under the label "Port" can be produced only in this region in the likeness of Champagne.

That library and great wine... I gotta get myself to Porto! :)
