Portugal Azores Scrimshaw art
Scrimshaw is considered a whaling vessel because it is made during the whaling pause periods. The most used techniques are the incision or the engraving, the notches are then pigmented. These works are made in bone or whale ivory.
There are several places in the Azores where you can see.
