Last year when I visited Cuba I was lucky enough to meet a traditional cigar maker and his family. It was an amazing experience!

At first he showed me how everythig start with cultivation tobacco plants. When plants are mature, drying in the sun and hanging in a drying house follow. It´s a very long process and everyday hard work.
After all explanation he asked if I want to try one.. but I don´t smoke, so I could not appreciate his work. So I got the perfect souvenir for my friends and family;)

The whole family was very kind. They invited me to the living room and join them for coffee, which they also grow.
They didn´t have too much to offer, but they gave me all with a warm smile!

This is what I love about traveling - meeting new people in their real life, no staff in 5-star hotel ;)
