Five Minutes with Elliot | Portrait Photography

Elliot signed up for my final 5-Minute Rapid Portrait Sessions event before I left St Petersburg. Back then, I was a full-time photographer and very active with the local professional and business owner community.

5-Minute Portrait Sessions are just as they sound. I'd book 15 people for two hours, typically run about 5 - 8 minutes behind, and photography each of those people for 5 minutes.

Here's how it goes:

• Meet at the defined spot - I typically chose a beautiful park with multiple structural or natural elements. We typically met around 5:30pm, which initiated golden hour for my city.
• Shake hands, laugh a bit, then shoot!
• Keep my finger down as we chat candidly, change positions, and I move around to capture different angles.
• Each client received five photos: four color, one black and white, with a full-body, mid-shot, head shot, and either two candids or other perspectives of their choice.
• Photos are processed in Lightroom to be clean, represent the personality of my subject and future purpose of the image, and delivered digitally within two weeks.

I've already published his black and white portrait as part of an earlier post. These are the resulting color portraits.

Needless to say, I could've photographed Elliot all day. He was easy to work with, kind-mannered, and absurdly photogenic.
