My Steemit portrait contest entry #2, Omniportrait
The story of this photo goes like this:
I was still learning photography during my artisan studies few years ago, and we had a short course in photography, so I had a lot to digest in a very small timeframe, but I think every second at that was worth it.
Anyway, during one of our classes we approached the subject of low light photography via lightpainting and portraits. The idea was that everyone would sit on a chair and others were to flash and move different light sources and colour gels to create different moods to the photo.
So as I was sitting in the chair, I realised I wouldn't have to stay still but I could create my own depth to the picture by moving or turning my head. So I did, and here's the resulting photo:

My Omniportrait
Camera body: Canon EOS 550D
Lens: Canon EF-S18-55mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 III
Aperture: ƒ/11
Exposure: 15 s
ISO: 100

Yup, very cool. Gonna have to try it out. Inspiring.
Wow that is awesome!
Thanks! I was wondering where all these new comments came from, turns out i need to thank you for the resteem too. I really appreciate it. :)
NP - thanks for all of your support too. Feel free to message me your posts if you feel there is something that has been overlooked. I try to keep up with my feed but it is becoming impossible as there is too much good content!
Sweet... Thanks I'll keep your generous offer in mind. :)
So this was a long exposure shot. I really like it. Very nice effect!

I fooled around with it also by taking a shot of our dock lights from my kayak lol
Hehe, thanks! Here I was thinking you must be pulling my leg. Until I read your reply in full. :D
This is quite cool! Well done, omni portrait indeed
Thank you!
Freaky stuff. :) I likes.
Thank you, love your comment. If you go through my steems, you might find other photos to your liking too. :)
Thanks, most of all for the generous upvote. Honestly It's kinda hard to find your photos out just from your feed. Hopefully we'll get some "tools" in the future to feature (or filter) content on our profiles or something. But if you have a more conventional kind of portfolio I'd love to have a look. I love photography.
Heads up, the link to ur webpage on ur profile don't work.
Ohh... try via busy.org, or click any picture here to get to the flickr page of the photo. Seems the link is broken, I'll update it when I get home. :)
This link doesn't work either. I did see your links on the bottom of the posts. Kinda neat. And yeah I managed to navigate to Flicker. There's a lot of nice photos there. I love landscapes and the building.
This one's probably the best tho, cause cat's are just cats... The predator look... :)
Back to the topic of:
Reminded me of a post I made quite a while ago, it might freak you out a bit. ;)
Oops, I wrote .com instead of .org. That's the problem. Now the link should work. :) Cats are great!
Looks like trinity :))
Very cooool!
Thank you! If you have time, please check my other photos too. There may be something you like. Feel free to comment or critique. :)
