I know, I know - Hardfork 18 came in like a #REKTINGBALL
So while we are all waiting for the new pool to fill up, let us remember some of the good times from past forks in the more than a year the STEEM-CHAIN has been in existence :)
For better and for worse, we have stood shoulder to shoulder with the good forces of STEEM, those that want to make STEEM able to become the worlds dominating social media platform & more. And the best part: You are part of it, unless you are not - then, sad to be you.. I guess :)

What I like about @fyrstikken the most, is that he has his finger on the pulse of what's happening on the internet. He's not a waste time type of guy.

Yeah, I haven't really been a fan of the Winfrey bot either.
The Winfrey Bot-Net you mean. It helps spread STEEM-Tokens around to as many people as possible and facilitate for growth. 0.5% is because of all the extra content, on Golos we run 5% and more.
For this platform to become successful, everyone needs some votes until we reach critical mass and can turn off the bots.
Think of it as a faucet.
I hope you're right.. I am brand new to this site and made my first postings yesterday and today. I'm not sure what's going on, but I saw a couple of good posts of mine go from making money to $0. It's really confusing me being new..
Yeah I have been here for awhile but have been gone for a couple months and it is confusing to me as well. I'm not getting why the reward pool has to "fill back up."
The old rewardpool paid out in 24 hours + 30 days.
The new rewardpool pays out in 7 days.
So just keep blogging and voting like normal. We will see the result in 7 days from now and have good data in 14 days from now to make analysis with.
But fyrstikken how about potential payout before the hardfork, will that still be paid or are those lost?
That was a $45 day for me LOL, I was really like that day's payouts, they have to go somewhere, right?
When I went on #SteemitStrike on principle for 7 days - I knew I was walking away from a high paying week, --- I do wonder where I would be ranking for the last 7 and 30 days for stats on here, and also for this reward pool ranking system they are valuing over the last 30 days. I have not kept up with it all, I have had life stuff to deal with this week and it has not been a good week for me. sorry.
Even me who has been here all along don't undertand it fully but i am pretty calm cos things got a bit disrupted in the last hardfork and restore to even better after normality and that took some days!
Don't worry you are in safe hands. An update is taking place and that will take sometime. Your info or past info is all safe!

I appreciate the update and the way you help keep the community updated with these no-nonsense explanations. I believe in this place and still think we are moving towards bigger and better things... once the dust settles after this update, I will be seriously starting to talk people I know to come here and start their blogs.
