Reminder - Call to action: Help answer questions and clear up misinformation in the Poloniex trollbox
With today's price spike, there is a lot of chat in the Poloniex trollbox about STEEM. In the last 60 minutes, I saw 4 people ask questions / make comments about STEEM.
I responded to one person who was asking questions about the pump, and said it might have to do with some of the publicity STEEM has been getting, and well some known users have been signing up.
As I suggested in this post - if we could have more people hanging out in the trollbox and responding to comments regarding STEEM, I think that would help a lot to improve STEEM's image in the crypto community. It might even spark some interest from investors =)
Today is a really good day to spend some time on there if you have a few minutes!
During the previous Steem spike, I saw several comments being made in the Poloniex Trollbox too. Some were really false so I corrected many of them. Felt nice doing that :)
That's awesome! It's a really big help. We actually got someone who commented in one of the other threads on this post that they just joined today because of what someone said in the trollbox :)
Yeah, I can't stand misinformation. One of the guys I corrected still believed that Steem's inflation was more than 100% LOL. So I set things straight for him haha. We should all do this. :)
Last month, i made a little profit on Steem, trading at Poloniex. I bought it on middle of March, where at that time Steem price is around 6200 to 6500s only. Unfortuntely i already sold them all on early April @ 16500s. Today, Steem price spike again and already test new resistance level @ 19080s. Actually, i can make more profit if i sell them all on March 18, when that time Steem price spike to hit new high record @ 33000s. But, maybe i am too noobs in crypto trading. Unlucky also, I lost a lot when i am invest in Steem Dollar. I bought it during big spike on March 27, @ 39000s but until now Steem dollar price still in downtrend. What do you all think about Steem Dollar future price? Appreciated any comment and reply. One more things, actually i came to know about Steem when i come to trade at Poloniex.
The Steem Dollar coin is intended to be pegged to the USD, so unfortunately it is unlikely that you will recover your losses there. It could go higher, but I wouldn't count on it.

Just use the person's name if you are replying to someone earlier in chat.
Also try to include the word "Steem" in your reply, and try to word your response so that someone who doesn't know what you are responding to may still read it and learn useful info.
All good pointers, I just click on someone's name and then type, right? We should make a nationwide campaign that every person promotes steemit there. That is our key target audience IMO. Like, you can stop trolling and write like @kingscrown

If you join up on Steemit.chat (link in the upper right corner menu) there is a #price channel where people talk a lot about various coins. The conversations can get a bit crazy at times though :)

Problem is that whenever I read the stuff people say in the trollbox, if they say positive things I assume they're shills; if negative, I assume trolls.
And btw, why is the price of Steem up today?
I know what you mean, but believe it or not there are some people that actually get trading advice from there :)
We actually got someone to sign up today through the trollbox. They replied to one of the threads in this chain.
I don't know the reason. My guess is that we have gotten some 'big' sign ups recently from some well known people/groups.

I always find it very difficult to sell any, because I assume that it will eventually go way up :)
I hope so too but experience said things don't go up in a straight line and I hope to buy back later.
