Agreed? (A poem)

Agreed?

What if...

the sky were that deep, deep blue,

the oceans were pure and clean,

the air was crisp and clear,

the earth was fresh and cool

Gone forever...

is plastic, killing marine life and all that lives by,

the white haze that covers, an otherwise beautiful sky,

the chemicals and particles that destroy human health,

the lifeless soil where food plants are unable to flourish

What if...

our leaders were good, wise and honest people,

businesses ran to fulfil a need, not a pocket,

our current-sea flowed around and around,

all humans worked together, from every land

Gone forever...

is the fraud and corruption that rules our sad world,

and greedy corporations feeding off of the poor,

money that is controlled, manipulated and stolen,

and the bankers wars created for profit and depopulation

the shift is now,

the truth is here,

no more excuses,

get out of the chair...

this spiral of destruction must be reversed

integrity and honest needs to come first,

real transparency and secure transactions,

must be the basis for all interactions,

working together, getting out of this mess,

surely, its easy if we put together our heads,

our current processes, we must replace,

bring fresh, new ideas that transform this disgrace,

re-learning, remembering the best of the old,

and bringing in tech to add ease to our load,

as individuals and groups we can make this change,

in communities and neighbourhoods there is so much to be gained

What if...

our work was a joy that fulfilled us and served a real need

our futures were secure as our new world excluded all greed

we only acquired that which we use

as anything more would be clutter and not what we'd choose

Gone forever...

are the meaningless jobs,

working our lives to pay bills and food shop,

paying a pension that we'll never see,

as we all now know its a ponzi scheme

the shift is now,

the truth is here,

a time to change,

or the end is near...

its a time to plant trees not dig them up,

clean those blue oceans,

and show them some love,

Stop borrowing money to buy pointless things,

covered in plastic and other wrappings,

spend money wisely,

buy only that which you need,

starve the greedy bankers, bring them to their knees,

nature is perfection on which we cannot improve,

we need to stop trying and get back our groove,

the cycles of life we have long ignored,

should now be remembered and lovingly restored
