RE: Political Ideologies Losing It's Effectiveness

in #politics7 years ago

Undoubtedly, using religion to support political agenda and actions is one of the saddest realities of under-developed and developing part of the world. I'm from Pakistan, and due to the high illiteracy rate in my country, it's really easy for politicians to use religion as their main weapon whenever the need arises.

In my view, a nation that believes, relies and depends heavily on one fundamental religion, the fine line becomes even finer that differentiates religion from everything else - political views, societal norms and way of living. It becomes even harder when you're aware of your literacy rate, because an uneducated mind would not have the capacity to question any set of laws or regulations that a government may impose. Political ideologies will keep mixing with the religious preaching and all the doctrines followed and practiced by that specific society or a country as a whole, and that is where the 'rights' and 'wrongs' of politics become rather subjective.

Well I don't know much about politics in Pakistan but I assume that every middle east country having similar problems in the practice of politics. When we consider pakistan is 200 million country and as you said when we add that literacy rate it is quite easy to manipulate masses with far fetched political policies.

Yes, and not just middle-east countries, I strongly believe the problem is the same even with other parts of the world when it comes to 'controlling the mob' due to the high dependence and low tolerance when it comes to religion.
