RE: A New Deconstitution for the Decentralized States of America

'First it came for the peasants and no one spoke out, then it came for the middle class and at first they didn’t speak out. Finally they protested and authority would not listen. Then in the end, authority will protest and nobody will listen.'

Excellent article zoidsoft.

''Where there is no control, there can be no legitimate blame.''

I was never much of a techy, but this new block chain technology certainly has some profound ramifications with respect to social and political change.

Though i have three questions?

  1. If AI becomes aware if itself, will it pose a threat?

  2. who will write the algorithms?

  3. When you say ''consensus'' do you mean 100% consensus or an ''al gorian'' idea of consensus science which is more akin to 'majority'. I just see achieving a 100% consensus on ANY issue extremely difficult to obtain.

All the best and thanks again for your post

Sort:
  1. Don't know. Is compassion written into the code (golden rule boolean var). If the code starts to rewrite itself with no pain or pleasure receptors, we could be in trouble because the agnoia would be too great for conformance with human values.
  2. Dan Larimer is thinking along these same lines as I am.
  3. I think Delegated Proof of Stake assumes 2/3 will keep a safe level of consensus, but 51% might be enough. The ability to opt out due to scope issues should allow that voluntarism principles are preserved.
