The Forced Degeneracy of Today's Society

The mainstream society today controls how the masses think and act. For the most part, this has a negative effect on the individual when compared to others who are not controlled by this paradigm. However in the long run it is good for society in general and the people as a whole. An example of this is our instant-gratification consumerism mindsets. Most people are living in a way that forces them to go paycheck to paycheck, spending any excess cash on items they don't require but want, in order to make them feel as though they are living a lavish lifestyle. In reality, most people have a net worth of or below $0. Mainstream society controls the masses, having a negative effect on the individual and a somewhat positive effect on the overall society as a whole.

An example of this is instant gratification, which fucks over all of us. Sure it's nice sometimes when you don't feel like doing something. Like fast food after a long day of work. However when it comes to instant gratification and getting results fast, humans fall into traps making them regress as individuals. Instant gratification in society is just one of many examples of how the mainstream controls how the masses think and act. In today's modern age, society is slowly becoming controlled by so-called progressives and liberals who claim to be advocators for things like free speech and equal rights, when in reality, they are quite the opposite. I understand that's quite a bold statement to make, but bear with me now as I explain my reasoning. It used to be that liberalism meant to free-think and accept others no matter who they are. It was a progressive cause. However only in the past decade has this changed and gone to the extreme. It has gotten so far as to oppress people who are voicing their opinions and utilizing their right to free speech. This has made two sides that push their ideals to the extreme just to prove a point. This is the root of many problems in today's society.

Identity politics is a big issue in today's society, causing a rift like never before between two halves of the population, that don't need to exist. It's no one side's fault though, because everyone thinks they are doing the right thing. Liberals think they are progressively bettering the world. Conservatives think they are conserving the values that are best for society. Hell, even the Nazis thought that what they were doing was for the betterment of the human race. Blaming the opposite side for any issue in the world or nation is a tactic that is often used to portray the one side in a bad light, even though the issue is usually not a direct result of the actions of that group.

However, liberalism is at point so far removed from its original goals, that it is reversing itself, and in turn, society. We have all got so caught up being politically correct that we don't even realize that we are limiting free speech.
