Turkish Purge Enters 5th Month

The purge continues in Turkey, as they are culling and crafting the perfect dictatorship for themselves right before our very eyes.

In the past several months, tens of thousands of teachers, government workers, police officers, and others have been fired from their jobs. Thousands have also been arrested and detained, including well-known journalists who advocate for democracy in their country. At least 36,000 total have been jailed and are waiting for trial.

Turkish officials have marketed the crackdown activities as "rooting out enemies" from within their own country.

People have protested around the world against the crackdown and in support of the journalists and other figures that have been targeted. There have also been many protesters that have been in support of the government and its decision to move on arresting many of its citizens.
