Trump And May Are Perfectly Demonstrating Realpolitik
Regardless of how Theresa May and Donald Trump feel about each other, they are doing a great job of getting down to practical business and not letting distractions cloud their visions.
The UK is tilting its axis drastically towards USA. Post-Brexit UK will need to get much closer to USA economically and politically. If Ms. May leads a great new trade deal with USA, it could save her Prime Ministership, which currently is in a very precarious state.
I have been very critical of her, and I think due to the chaos of the current political mess in the UK, she has a glorious opportunity to unhitch her country from the dreaded EU and hitch it to America.
The special relationship can get even stronger. The proud tradition of the UK showing leadership and independent thinking from the rest of Europe might be returning. That would be wonderful if it comes to pass.
UK is living a very important time of its history.
Yes. Britain is finally awakening from its decades long slumber as a junior partner to Germany and the rest of Europe. Britain is always better as a leader than a follower.
