Phil Bredesen - "He'll be a good democrat"
Unfortunately today, the phrases "good democrat" or "good republican" means following the leadership of the party in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Gone are the days when Representatives and Senators will make up their own minds based on the desires and beliefs of the people that elected them to office. In the case of Democrats this means putting the ideology of California and New York ahead of the beliefs of their home state. For Republicans it's Wisconsin and Kentucky. While I would rather my Representatives and Senators make decisions based on the beliefs of those of us in Indiana, I don't believe the ideology of Wisconsin and Kentucky are as different from ours as that of California and New York.
During the confirmation hearing of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, Phil Bredesen who is running for Senate in Tennessee made the comment that he would vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. With the vast majority of the people of Tennessee supporting the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh, politically this was an easy comment to make since Bredesen didn't have to actually make a vote on the confirmation. There was no way to tell if he was lying or telling the truth, but you would think those working closely with Bredesen in the campaign would know the truth.

It's clear that at least a portion of the staff understands the Bredesen is lying to the voters of Tennessee just to win votes. To me it doesn't appear that most of the staff are very enthusiastic about the tactic accepting it as a part of politics rather than walking away from the campaign. If this is what is being taught the current generation of campaign staffers, if these staffers continue in politics what will they be teaching the next generation of staffers.
One of the staff, Will Stewart seemed not to have any problems with lying to voters. He even went to the point of confirming the belief by the campaign that the voters of Tennessee were "ignorant" when asked the question by the journalist. If the voters of Tennessee do elect Bredesen to the Senate, maybe they are ignorant and deserve that New York ideology of Chuck Schumer being force on them.
Not sure how strong the younger people are in figuring it out for themselves. I do believe lying is politically incorrect. Right up there on the list with inciting riots, conspiracies and finger pointing and release of personal letters.
Our young generation has lost sight of tomorrow. If they buy into Socialism I still say it is because history is being taught with blinders on by a bunch of liberal 'professors' who have become mouthpieces for the Left. I heard last night a college has a staff of 12 to 1 Liberals over Republicans....and, yes, someone did say we need affirmative action in hiring college personnel. Ya think?
I know there are liars on both sides. My concern with the left is their aversion to reality.
If politics/politicians, affect where people choose to live in order to remain amoungst the sane our country will be going through a dramatic change. One that faintly reminds me of civil war.
Heres to hoping Trump Style politics can keep up the momentum. We can weed out candidates like Berdesen.
Several years ago a liberal after having heard that colleges were brainwashing students asked if I believed it. I told her yes and explained why I thought so. Her liberal brain could not wrap around what was happening then and she probably still doesn't get it.

I agree. The real unfortunate part if he is elected is that it would count toward the Schumer ideology being forced on all of us.
