The problem with Politics
The problem with Politics
The politics were never perfect, the rich and sly people always used them to control the poor and not so bright people and even if it may look like all that is way behind us, it’s still here but in a slightly different shape. With the latest controversy that’s in the spotlights of mass-media and all these civil wars people are always talking about, it seems like the world’s gone mad and it might soon be close to a collapse thanks to terrible governance and silly political systems.
Before I get more in-depth, I want to mention about Donald Trump, the president of the USA that defeated Hilary even if not many people believed something like this is possible for obvious reasons, but none of them is fit to rule a country. Between the two of them, I pick Trump, don’t get me wrong, I don’t like all of Trump’s views, he’s a dumbfuck most of the times, but he just opened a new era for politics and business thanks to his style.
Most people think that politicians have to be diplomatic, but that’s fucked up since they don’t speak their mind freely and are being fake that way. Political Incorrectness is the thing Trump brings to the table, and it is the way to go because the language doesn’t matter, a language is just a tool, the ideas matter.
The Problem
You see, the main issue with politics is that it doesn’t matter who is the candidate because nothing changes besides the surface. It doesn’t matter who’s winning because the system it’s rigged since it allows people to get corrupt, it gives people too much power and the possibility of abusing their function. It’s merely human nature if people can steal if people can do something harmful and for their benefit without getting caught, the majority of them would do it.
It’s harder to change the human nature but what’s easier is to replace the system; I’m not sure what system would be good, but as long as people don’t have the possibility of getting corrupt anything should work fine.
Democracy is rigged to its core, as a Romanian politician said, some influential people behind the curtain are controlling everybody regardless of who is winning, so it wouldn’t even matter who’s getting elected. Votes are there just so people think they can choose when in fact, nothing changes.
Communism is fucked up too because even if people from a structural point of view might be similar to each other, they are sure as hell not the same on the inside, they have different wishes and opinions so just giving everybody the same thing to do, it’s not a good idea.
Anarchy, where everybody’s doing whatever the fuck they want when they want as long as they don’t hurt others would be a great political system but, as I said in another post, it’s just a utopia at the moment since people are too dumb and can’t handle such freedom.
Conclusion
It doesn’t matter who’s playing and who’s winning because things stay the same and we might not be able to change the whole game peacefully right now, but one thing we can do is to improve our community. If we influence the people positively around us so they can get better and have the life they want, when the shit goes down as it happened in 2008, our loved ones will be ready.
One great alternative to the system we have right now is Steem and crypto in general, but most people are either too afraid or not even aware of its existence, but is our responsibility to at least try to show them this incredible ecosystem.
It’s not going to be easy but if we influence our community and they influence their communities, and so on, in a few years a whole intellectual “movement” can be created, and many people can gain the right mentality and tools to live a life full of freedom. I’ve seen this happening, in my community and if you lead by example as I did, much great stuff can happen for everybody.
Help your community.

"Language doesn't matter, ideas matter". Well, I certainly agree ideas matter but Trump's are not necessarily great ... Then about "language doesn't matter" ... let's say I see why you would use this provocative statement in order to emphasize the importance of ideas ...
Then: "what’s easier is to replace the system" ? If you believe changing a political system is easy ... tu te mets le doigt dans l'oeil (en français dans le texte) ... You are right that changing human nature is for all practical purposes impossible. Changing a political system is only slightly easier but, by and far, not easy.
The paradox comes from the very human aspiration to simplicity. The simpler a political system, the cruder and easier to abuse to profit the few. Good political systems are necessarily complex, because they are supposed to help steer and control society, and society is itself very complex. It's hard to control a fighter jet using the steering wheel and controls of a car - because a fighter jet is much more complex than a car.
There's even a scientific law about this is, it's called "Ashby's law of requisite variety". So if we agree that "a better political system" means (according to Ashby's law) "a more complex political system" - with more elaborate checks and balances - do you see anytime soon a revolution where people would clamour "Make our political system more complex again" ?
I don't think anarchy is a good system for solid reasons that would take too long to explain. But I do agree 100% with the following paragraph though "One great alternative to the system we have right now is Steem and crypto in general, but most people are either too afraid or not even aware of its existence, but is our responsibility to at least try to show them this incredible ecosystem.".
I'm doing my part :-)
Being Venezuelan and living in a country that is totally destroyed thanks to its socialist government I think pretty much the same as you.
People should focus more on freedom and on earning on their own whatever they need to live a good life. But I notice there are too much people wanting the government to assume the consequences of their mistake, and by government I mean everyone else, because at the end, everything the government owns, has been taking from some individual.
When you mentioned Anarchy, the things you say are very similar to Libertarianism , have you read about it? I highly recommend it to you.
Also, check some of Ayn Rand philosophy as well, I bet you will find yourself supporting this type of world view.
I tell you this because I think that with Anarchy, you actually mean Libertarianism, which is in my opinion the best ideology, I don't know if rights can be respected under an anarchic system?
What a wonderfully written article! Your name alone suggests how much you know about politics. I happen to really love the ideaology of anarchy. I believe that this philosophy used to resound in steemit.
When the platform was born, if I am not mistaken, no one knew each other and everyone just did whatever they wished. The diversity was flourishing. Its good in a sense but bad in another since I guess people abused the system by posting plagiarized content. Chaos ruled so something had to be done.
By and by, people started to rise in power such as @steemcleaners and @cheetah come in. Along with it came politics as people believe in their ideology and their cause.
Afterwhich, and on another note, people started to form communities, local tribes such @thealliance for example. Again, politics will always be present. Commu ities are being made with respectibe leaders and subgroups interacting with each other. Its just fascinating to see steemit grow as a community and reflecting human nature.
I guess what im trying to say is that I agree with your point of view. May it be an authoritarian, democratic or any type of politcal view, there will always be downsides to it and corruption and abuse of power is inevitable regardless of any politcal ideology. Greed corrupts hearts of men as it was said in The Lord of the Rings and this will continue but as long as we keep a community-oriented mindset, benefits can outweigh the negatives. Communities like the one I am in have been so suppprtive of my endeavors and I guess the same goes to you as a @sndbox fellow. The possibilities are endless here.
P.S. I also agree with sharing the good news of this blockchain to everyone. It opens so much doors such as freedom of expression, redistribution of wealth, decentralization and meritocracy. I am so excited when this hits the masses which is why I want to be an ambassador to help spread the word in my locality.
Pardon my long comment. I just really love talking about politics especially political philosophy. I enjoyed your article so much which is why I would love to follow you. With complete honesty, I hope you make more of these.
Glad you came to visit Guy. He doesn't talk much in discord, and now you know why. Awesome Steempeep and ally.
Oops I didn't know he was an ally. My bad. But it isn't a surprise though. Quality is there - the benchmark of our family. I definitely need to get to know everybody. I'll definitely stuck around to read more of his posts.
Blockchain is able to give people a lot. Accessible education, transparent politics, freedom from corruption. It is indeed the beginning of a long journey towards a better future for the entire human community. Now it is in its initial stage, in infancy. And you are right, we should strive to disseminate information about the platform, about blockchain. For more people to learn more about these benefits of modern technology. But many people, unfortunately, do not want to change their lives for the better. It is easier for them to complain about government and despair than to make any effort to improve their place in life. Many are too lazy to learn, afraid to leave their ridiculous comfort zone. It is impossible to help such people. Year after year, they believe that the reason for their failures is the wrong choice of the President.
