It's all about that power and money. I am not as familiar with the political situation in USA although I was supporting Trump. But I can tell you how things are in my country (Bulgaria). A leftist government came, they promised they will raise pensions, which they didn't, and instead they voted a flat tax of 10%, and a corporate tax of 10%. Which is not a leftist move. Then a rightist government came in and killed small and medium sized businesses with their legislation. It's just gimmicks.
Capitalism helps businesses.
Business and economies and the middle class do better when taxes and regulations go down and that is how things get better. We do better as government gets smaller.
