Do You Fear Automation? Being Replaced By A Robot?

in #politics6 years ago (edited)

The article (link below) talks about a survey of 10 countries asking people if they feel automation is a threat to job security. Ironically the United States, the country with the most automation, was lowest with 65% being concerned with job losses. That is because we know it to be a false assumption. I was an automation engineer for many years and with all the systems I worked on we never laid any workers off. They were always placed on more important work. The only exception was when I built a system, packaged it up, and sent it to China or Mexico. Those jobs were gone. That has come to an abrupt halt since Trump was elected. It is really nice to have someone at the top looking out for working people. You can take NAFTA and Nation Building using our tax dollars and shove it up the swamp's backside.

But why to fear about? Actually we're evolving into biomechanic beings

Have we linked mechanics to respond to human brain signals yet? That would be interesting.

That could be done wireless by telephaty😉
