She seems to be blinded by nationalism like a lot of Americans are. You can hate the idiot in charge all you want, but replacing him with another idiot, even a less idiotic one, will not solve the bigger issue of a corrupt government. You have to start at the roots.

FREEDOM! is meant for those who fight for it. People who are not willing to die for freedom deserve to live without it. This is why America can no sooner give "freedom" to Iraqis nor guarantee it to its own citizens. You must need it, deep inside your soul and fight for it, staying forever vigilant of those who would take it from you and always sceptical of blind allegiances to patriotism.
Agreed, freedom is not free, it is built. Rome wasn't built in a day. Freedom is not built in a day. I support individual freedoms. That means, I want to have as many rights, choices, I can have, to do whatever I want with what I say, write, think, feel, believe, wit my money, house, car, rain water, property, whatever that I bought, that I own. I hate taxes. I want government to shrink. I hate welfare.
No one has control over us, it is us who allows others to control us. We hand them the leash. If you want a government of any type to make decisions for your life you are only picking how long a leash you give them. Every system and every figurehead is but a color and a length of the very same chain.
My dad told me as a child to not count on the social security system for a retirement. He said, back then, that there would be no money for my generation. I have taken his advice. Far too many of my peers are counting on the state to pay for their old age. That just seems like a bad idea.

Two lessons we already know can be learned from Nicaragua:
Socialism does not work, ever. Only a ccompletely free system will have effectively addressed the wage and social security issue, Government excessive regulations and interventions only made it worse.
This was also a backlash against higher taxes. This is despite the fact that the current tax system has only managed to expand poverty and not create wealth

Don't think that it's just Nicaragua... pension crises in America have been going on for sometime, and have been accelerating RAPIDLY the past few months/weeks. It's only going to get worse...
That is why a man/woman should try their best to make sure they are as self sufficient as possible and prepare. Diversify and don’t expect any fiat currency to be worth what you want it when you want it to be nor that you can count on anything. The key to life is making the most of it, being a moral individual, making relationships that are valuable and being self reliant. Whether that makes you a libertarian or a Prepper, a gun owner or silver stacker/cryptocurrency collector. Build yourself into a self governing body and you will know what #FREEDOM! is .
