Our relationship with Mother Earth is just like any other relationship; it is a two way street.  Give and take and balance are part of any healthy relationship.  Our unique bond with Earth is being testing these days.  It has provided for humankind in abundance over the millennia but now Mother Earth needs us.  Are we listening to her calls?

Dependency

  

Addicted to a way of life 

Life so disposable 

Disposable diaper, appliance and cup 

Cup of smog 

Smog so thick it clouds ones sensibility 

Sensibility tainted by desensitizing the senses 

Senses that see, hear, touch, taste and smell 

Smell of pollution in the air   

Balance is needed for symbiotic longevity 

Longevity of the species and planet 

Planet Earth weeps for its children 

Children that callously ignore mothers suffering 

Suffering manifested in plain view 

View the oceans, clouds and lands 

Lands that are torn for lack of understanding 

Understanding that we are needed now more than ever before
