Dreaming in Dali (Poetry Dice Challenge 3000 - Week 15)
Below is my first attempt at Poetry Dice Challenge 3000 hosted by @robyneggs and @rensoul17. Please check out the post here at PoetryDice.
The dice I am working with: magic/wand/spell; dice; rainbow; sheep; shooting star; arrow; world/earth; multi-directional, pointing arrow; and the 6 leafed marijuana plant. Because I am new to this poetry contest, I decided not to try for six mentions, but did at least nod at the concept.
Dreaming in Dali
Soon after smoking magic weed and dallying with a wayward steed I fell into a rainbow dream when dozing by a lazy stream I wandered down a foreign road while carrying a horny toad whose stick and two balls asunder was looking for a frog to plunder I threw him in a handy lake with a wish his lust could slake
Walking on across a mountain came upon a kahlua fountain took a sip and what did I see a unicorn talking to a tree electric sheep in rainbow fields ate grass to boost their daily yields of thunder wool and lightning fodder while shooting stars fell in the water arrows flew in all directions as mice cavorted on greek erections
When rolling ancient sigil dice to decide upon the earth's demise all omens pointed with intention to paths full of strange inventions I spoke a prayer to signore Da Vinci to cast a spell for all to see what fools are we to lust for money when we can sing Tupelo Honey
